Alex Creasey is Partner and Co‑Founder of Snowpoint Ventures, a firm built around a simple idea: dual‑purpose technology — serving both national security and commercial markets — is one of the most important, and most under‑funded opportunities of our time. Alex brings together hard‑earned operating scars, capital markets experience, and time spent deep inside the modern defense stack to find founders building the next generation of critical infrastructure and help them turn those products into category‑defining companies.
Before launching Snowpoint in 2021, Alex was a Senior Director at Forge Capital (2019–2020), where he worked on the “plumbing” of the private markets as they collided with the public ones: raising primary capital for venture‑backed technology companies, designing liquidity programs for funds and their portfolios, and advising Slack and Palantir on their direct listings — a new playbook for how important software companies come to market.
From 2017 to 2019, at msg.ai (Y Combinator W16), he ran Business Development and Partnerships, living the reality of building and selling enterprise software: shipping product, finding repeatable sales motions, and turning early traction into durable relationships. Before that, from 2012 to 2017, Alex was on Palantir’s Business Development and Strategy team, helping push software into the heart of intelligence and defense workflows and leading international expansion with U.S.-allied governments. It was a front‑row seat to how mission‑critical software actually gets adopted in the most demanding environments in the world.
Alex started even closer to the edge: four years as a Naval Cryptologist in the United States Navy, with deployments across Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. He later earned an MBA in Entrepreneurship and Finance from Babson College’s F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business and a bachelor’s degree from the University of San Francisco.
Put together, this trajectory — military service, inside the engine room of defense tech, and hands on the levers of capital formation and liquidity — gives him a clear view of what national security buyers actually need, what great dual‑purpose founders look like, and how to turn their companies into enduring, highly valuable platforms.
